Ten year old Stan Sheppard is carrying on the family equestrian talents.  A member of the Ledbury Pony Club he is already a seasoned hunter and he competes in pony club activities very successfully. He is now also stepping into the world of pony racing, last season he teamed up with a super mare Balfour Hillsong (Hilda). This year season he has Balfour Moonlight Serenade.  His other loves are football and cricket and he is also very talented at these sports and represents his school in football matches and has played for Eastnor cricket team!

Stan and Moonlight as ever have their own Fan Club, with that in mind we are delighted to relay their Form on the Pony Racing circuit so far this season - 2008.

March 8th, Kingstone Blount, 2nd Place, Mum's Comments; Superb start, driving finish, beaten by only a head.

February 16th, Barbury Castle, 5th Place Mum's Comments; Excellent start to the season on new pony measuring 12.2 in a 13.2 class.

April 10th, Cheltenham Racecourse 6th Place Mum's Comments; Stan was bucked off at the start and had to be lead in which ultimately cost him a lot of ground.

April 13th, Maisemore, 3rd Place Mum's Comments; Only beaten by one length, was squeezed at last gap rode well.

April 19th, Pentrych, Bonvilston, 3rd Place Mum's Comments; Ground too wet, race very hot!

April 20th, Cotswold Vale Farmers, Andoversford, 4th Place Mum's Comments; Good race beaten by bigger ponies.

May 3rd, Radnor & West Hereford, Coldharbour, 4th Place Mum's Comments; Slow away from start.

May 10th, Wincanton, 2nd Place Mum's Comments; Beaten by the champion pony in the country 2 years ago.

May 11th, Wheatland, Chaddesley Corbett, 7th Place Mum's Comments; Hot race, not a good start.

May 18th, Clifton On Teme, 1st Place Mum's Comments; Well ridden and well done Stan!!
