Stan and Balfour Daisy May/Ladybird's Form
Stan and his ponies as ever have their own Fan Club, with that in mind
we are delighted to relay their Form on the Pony Racing circuit for the season
- 2009.
February 21st, Carmarthenshire, finished in 5th Place, Mum's Comments; Superb start, pony ran on well, first run for Daisy May.
March 22nd, Curre and LLangibby at Howick Mum's Comments; Balfour Ladybird, first run ever coming back from serious injury sustained in the winter. Stood at start then copped onto the idea that she was meant to be galloping flat out
but every pony has to start somewhere!
March 29th, Ledbury at Maisemore Park, finished in 6th Place, Mum's Comments; Balfour Daisy May, 5 weeks sincer her last run. Stan had an excellent start pony held her breath for a while then got going. Best Ledbury member - next stop Cheltenham!
April 5th, Cotswold at Andoversford, finished in 7th Place, Mum's Comments; Balfour Ladybird, second time on track more aware on what was going on so very excited in paddock however a good start.
April 7th, Cheltenham, finished in 8th Place, Mum's Comments; Balfour Daisy May good start, outpaced, stayed on up hill, very hot race.
April 14th, Croome & West Warwickshire at Upton Upon Severn, finished in 8th Place, Mum's Comments; Balfour Daisy May, bad start, made up good ground stayed on. Charlie on Balfour Ladybird to educate her, good start, mid division finished 7th, she is a 5 yo and still a bit weak in the last 2 furlongs. Mum says two in the same class is very stressful!!
April 18th, Vale of Aylesbury at Kingstone Blount, Mum's Comments; Balfour Daisy May good start held good position until halfway then outpaced - everybody happy!
April 19th, Cotswold at Andoversford, Novice Riders day (novice until ridden three winners), Mum's Comments; Balfour Ladybird, excellent start lead all the way, WINNER! Stan
is now out of novice events!
April 25th, Pentyrch, Bonvilston, Mum's Comments; Unfortunate bad start could not make up lost ground!
May 2nd, Radnor & West Hereford, Cold Harbour, Mum's Comments; Good start, ran on well finished 4th!
May 10th, Wheatland, Chaddesley Corbett, Mum's Comments; Good start, a good six furlongs, ran well finished 5th.
May 17th, Clifton On Teme, Upper Sapey Mum's Comments; Excellent start, upside to a furlong, kicked on and won!!
Season Round Up: Stan went to post eleven times with two wins! Ladybird who had an awful accident at Xmas did very well to make a come back. Many thanks to Natellie Gawley for the lend of Balfour poines.
