Welcome to Matt Sheppard's Web Page
Matt Sheppard's stables are situated in the glorious Herefordshire countryside at the foot of the Malvern Hills and in the shadow of historic Eastnor Castle. Operating to the highest standards, facilities include well ventilated loose boxes, paddocks, horse walker, sand lunge ring and several gallops in various lengths and gradients. Matt Sheppard takes pride in offering personal attention for owners and individual attention for their horses.
Owners may visit their horses at any time to see them or watch
them on the gallops. If you are interested in becoming a race
horse owner, either as an individual or part owner or as part of a
syndicate Matt will be happy to answer any questions you may have.
If you are already an owner looking to rejuvenate your horse or wish to
add to your string please contact Matt to discuss your requirements.
All inquiries are dealt with in the strictest confidence.

Sept 5th Pin D'Estruval wins the Become Part Of The C Group Handicap Chase at Newton Abbot under jockey Charlie Poste, congratulations to his owners Lost In The Summer Wine. Pin D'Estruval is pictured below

July 13th Turn Up wins the Better Win Prices Every Race At coral.co.uk
Novices' Handicap Chase at Worcester owned by Mrs Heather Ridley he is ridden by her son James so congrats to all his connections who are all family. Turn Up is pictured below.


May 15th Four Burrow at Trebudannon, another win for Strong Weld and owner rider Rhys Jenkins.

April 20th Big Robert wins the Pertemps People Development Group Handicap Hurdle at Hereford. Jockey was Aidan Coleman congrats to Mr Simon Gegg Big Roberts owner. Big Robert is pictured below.


April 10th Curre & Llangibby at Howick, Strongweld and owner jockey Rhys Jenkins once again take first place. Congrats to
Rhys, Strong Weld is pictured further down the page.

April 7th Shouldhavenownbettr wins the Lindley Group Novices' Handicap Hurdle at Hereford with James Ridley on board clinching his first win under rules. Congrats to owner Mr Will Gaskins. Shouldhavenownbettr is pictured below.


March 27th Hampshire at Hackwood Park, Strong Weld and owner/jockey Rhys Jenkins have had a great start to their season by winning the Countryside Alliance Club Members - Veteran and Novice Riders race. Congrats to Rhys! Strong

February 13th Vine and Craven at Barbury Castle, Point to Point, Up There owned by Mrs Rae Jones and once again with James Ridley on board win the Mixed Open. Congrats to Mrs Jones, James and Up There are pictured below.


January 15th Matt Sheppard and Fen Edward take part in the Golden Button Ride (which is based on an old fashioned steeple chase) and win the the Best Ledbury Member Section.
They are presented with the World Wide Web trophy donated by Mr & Mrs Ridley by Zara Phillips. Pictured below are Matt on Fen Edward and Matt receiving his trophy from Zara Phillips amd Mr Ridley.




January 3rd 2011 a great start to the New Year for Eastnor Racing when Up There owned by Mrs Rae Jones wins the Men's Open at Chaddesley Corbett
Point to Point ridden by James Ridley. This was Up There's first run of the season, congrats to Mrs Jones. Up There is pictured below.











October 16th Stan Sheppard is awarded the
138cm & Under Rose Bengal Scholarship
at the Charles Owen Pony Racing Series held at Cheltenham race course.
